
There is really nothing better than chicken and dumplings on a cool fall day or a cold winter night. Here are some easy recipes for chicken and dumplings that you can make right in your crockpot.
Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings Recipe #1- Using biscuits
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 10 ¾ ounce cans of cream of chicken soup
1 onion, chopped
1 14-ounce can of chicken broth
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 7 ½ ounce can of plain biscuits
Directions:
Add chicken breasts to the crockpot. Add cream of chicken soup, onion, chicken broth and salt and pepper. Cook on high for 5-6 hours or low for 8-9 hours. About 30 minutes before finish time, cut biscuits into 4 pieces, add to the crockpot and continue cooking.
Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings Recipe #2- Using vegetables
Ingredients:
6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 6 pieces each
2 large potatoes, cut into chunks
2 cups of baby carrots
1 cup of celery, chopped
1 10 ¾ ounce can of cream of mushroom soup
1 10 ¾ ounce can of cream of chicken soup
1 cup of water
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 cups of Bisquick mix
2/3 cup of milk
Directions:
In the crockpot, add in the chicken, potatoes, carrots and celery. In a bowl, mix together cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, water and salt and pepper. Pour mixture over chicken and vegetables. Cook on high for 5-6 hours or low for 8-9 hours. About 30 minutes before the finish time, in a bowl, combine Bisquick mix and milk, drop by spoonful into the crockpot and continue cooking.
Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings Recipe #3- Using white wine
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into chunks
1 cup of baby carrots
1 cup of mushrooms, sliced
1 ½ cups of white wine
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
4 cups of chicken broth
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 10 ¾ ounce cans of cream of chicken soup
1 cup of water
1 7 ½ ounce can of plain biscuits
Directions:
In the crockpot, add chicken, carrots and mushrooms. Then, add in the white wine, garlic powder, chicken broth, salt and pepper. In a bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup and water and mix well. Add soup mixture to the crockpot. Cook on high for 5-6 hours or low for 8-9 hours. About 30 minutes before finish time, add the biscuits to the crockpot and continue cooking.
I love pretty much anything that I can make in my crockpot. It seriously makes my life so much easier.
