When you have a little one in your house, it can be a bit of a challenge to find time to get everything done that you want to get done. I know for me, going back to work was a bit of a challenge. Imagine training for the Olympics. Olympic swimmer Dana Vollmer gave birth to her son, Arlen, last March and she has been training hard for her first Olympic Games since she had her baby boy.

Dana Vollmer started swimming at a young age, no one knew at that time what laid ahead for her. At the age of 12, she was the youngest swimmer competing in the 2000 US Olympic trials. She competed in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, and 2012 in London. With love for swimming, the love of her family and doing something she loves herself her goal is to claim the gold. She is coming back after having her son Arden for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Love and encouragement from her family are what led Dana back to the pool. Her journey to Rio is one that she will share with them, and her goal of winning gold at this year’s Olympic Games is not just her dream – it’s her family’s dream.

Dana was committed to getting back into swimming after becoming a mom, so that her baby son, Arlen, could grow up recognizing the importance of hard work and get inspired from a young age. She wanted Arlen to grow up seeing his mom achieving her dreams as a competitive swimmer, and hopefully ignite his own passions for success.

What an awesome role model!

Dana has partnered with Pampers for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Just like Dana, Pampers feels it is important for our babies to have a good night’s sleep so they too can go after their dreams. No one likes to wake up to being wet, being wet should be left to when you are in the pool. Pampers diapers provide overnight protection that helps babies have a sound night of sleep. When your baby sleeps through the night it makes for a happy baby and happy parents. Pampers knows that the big dreams of babies start with a good night’s sleep, which is why they’ve created products designed to help little ones sleep comfortably by offering overnight protection.

living a well balanced life is important! I make sure I say no more when I know I take on too much, and I spend more time with my family than I do online – this is super important to me!

We keep everything balanced by making Sunday family day. We always try to find a fun family activity on Sundays.

  • What an amazing role model – she must have a fantastic family / support network behind her as well. x

  • I think the thing that helps me the most is to make lists and to check them several times a day. It keeps me accountable.

My tip is to actually schedule time into your calendar to exercise and for self care. Life gets busy, but if it is your schedule, that time is blocked.

I try to keep routine, but have time for flexibility and time to just enjoy life. Finding time to relax is very important.

  • It’s hard for me to find balance with my husband and I working opposite shifts and days, so we make the best of what very little time we do have together as a family – even if it is only a few hours each week.

  • I make time to relax

Organization for me helps me stay balanced! If I am organized, then the days seem to go better, and with the extra time I can take a long walk with the dog. Its so peaceful!

My tip is to stay organized!

  • Well balance life can be achieved by balancing work and relax time. That’s what I keep for myself, though it’s not easy sometimes.

  • Taking naps when your kids do!

  • She is an awesome role model, I completely agree. It’s so important to inspire children to have goals and dreams.

My kids are grown now and I have grandchildren. My focus now is on my husband and me. I make sure to find time for myself. I like to read and go for walks.

  • with a 5 month old a 5 year old ( who happens to have a busier schedule than mine) I have to always keep a calendar/ planner with me and make sure I write EVERY THING down to keep my life balanced,

  • For living a “balanced” life, I think of it more as living in harmony and accepting the ebb and flow that naturally happens. I’ve found it’s more about living with the changes, instead of fighting them as they happen.

  • I’m not exactly sure how I go about finding balance but I have [most of the time] and it feels so much better than the alternative. It’s a combination of many things.

  • Making time for me and taking care of myself isn’t really wasn’t really a priority with 3 kids and work but I realized that if I didn’t take care of myself then how can I be in a good place for others. Thank you for the inspiration!

Give yourself a break whenever it’s needed

  • I balance my life with pilates and running. It really helps alleviate any stress that I have from being a Mom.

  • This is such an important message. Sometimes we get so busy that we forget to remind our kids to have dreams and goals.

  • I make sure to schedule down time.

I make sure that I have some free time for just relaxing every day.

  • I make LOTS of to-do lists!

  • What an amazing story! I am trying to find the time to get all of the “things” done that I want. Getting a good night’s sleep is definitely part of that. We love that Pampers keeps our littlest dry all night long!

  • I try and sleep. As much as I possibly can because I have a wild one who does not stop for anything!

  • How adorable is that! What a great way to honor your child with thinking of their dreams.

I make time(about 15 minutes) each day for me. Just me alone in a quiet room to rel. I’ll usually have a notebook handy because as soon as I relax I remember a bunch of things that need to get done and creating lists help keep me organized which in turn balances my life.

  • My biggest tip is to learn to say no! So often we feel pressured into doing things and it overwhelms us.

  • My tip is to make time to work out.
