Because of the major success that so many people have experienced while on the keto diet, it is not uncommon to see people share transformation photos that show a 40 to 50 pound drop in a short time frame. So, as I peruse the numerous Facebook groups I am a member of, weight loss seekers expect the same results.

Some comments in the groups include, “I only lost 7 pounds in two weeks! What do I do?!” or “I lost only 5 pounds in a month. What am I doing wrong?”

Come on, people! Take each achievement as a success. Every step forward is one step closer to your goal. Stay realistic!

What people fail to realize is that the keto diet is not a miracle worker. It is like any other diet that includes changing your lifestyle. The results will be different for everyone and the keto way of life will not be for everyone either. It is important to keep an open mind and to realize that what works for you may not work for someone else.
