Turning In The Cheetos For Some Keto

How many of you like the word “diet”? Ahhh. Diet. Eww. I try to avoid that word as much as possible. So, around these parts I like to refer to taking out nasty eating habits and turning it into a positive by saying “healthy choices”. Let’s make some healthy choices, people. And, the last six weeks, my “healthy choices” have begun by experimenting with the keto way of life. And keto is definitely a way of life. Trust, I am always skeptical when it comes to what many refer to as “fads”, but experiencing what I have over the last six weeks, I am a believer.

I am a woman with a strong mind and a stubborn nature at times, however when it comes to my sweets cravings, I get weak in the knees. I CAN get into the mindset and achieve if I really want to. But, let me tell you, I have been embarking on a journey of choices that do not deprive me of cravings, because a girl’s got to enjoy the amazing things in life, like cookies and chocolate.

When I first noticed the results that a few of my friends were achieving while doing keto, I thought, “Good for them!” and trust, they look absolutely AMAZING! So, I thought, how hard could it be?

I have always been very active physically, as far as working out and taking care of myself in the gym, but eating is always hit and miss. I love to eat. I love carbs, especially pizza and pasta. And, don’t even put me in front of a plate of cookies, cake and brownies. I love sweets and sugar.

So what’s Keto? Ha, it’s a NO SUGAR and LOW carb diet. Girrlllll, I KNOW!!! This is why I thought my commitment to keto was going to be a no-go.

Now that it has been six weeks since I started the keto “way of life”, I wanted to share with you my experience, some recipes, some videos and some advice.
