5 Ways To Simplify Your Life

Decisions. We make many of them on a daily basis. I know I find myself quite overwhelmed with tasks, choices and what I need to do the minute I wake up in the morning. Not only am I running around with kids and for kids on a daily basis, but I have been in search of ways to make my life (and my family’s lives) simpler.

I have discovered some really cool ways to simplify my life that I would love to share with you all. Perhaps you will get an idea or two from my list…or, be willing to share something that you do to make your life simpler.

We are at the point in our lives where we have many different schedules going on at once in our household. One kid needs to get to dance. One kids needs to go to basketball, while the other is involved in speech and drama. Add in my busy work schedule, along with my husband’s military travel schedule and we have pure chaos. With our monthly calendar (we use Google calendar), I like to consider our family life to be somewhat organized chaos.

We try very hard at our house to prepare for the next day the night before. Packing school lunches, choosing school outfits, bathing and getting their homework done are all priorities the evening before the next.

Mom and Dad don’t have to do EVERYTHING. One thing we try to teach our kids is responsibility and the idea of household teamwork. While they aren’t big fans of “chores”, we like to refer to these tasks as doing “your part”. The kids are responsible for cleaning their own rooms and they each have a weekly task that they must take care of weekly. My oldest babysits the younger kids and does the laundry, while the younger kids are to make sure dishes are put away and floors and swept. This helps to minimize housework and make weekends much more relaxing for everyone! Who wants to clean and clean and clean and clean all weekend long? Not our family.

One of the best purchases we have ever made is a crockpot. No joke! We are a busy family and because we are constantly running around, it can be very difficult cooking a healthy meal every single night. Crockpot meals are some of the easiest meals to make. Simply mix up a recipe, throw it in the crockpot and let it cook all day, you can come home to a delicious meal requires minimal effort! And oh, the plethora of recipes you will find!

Putting healthy, nutritious foods into our bodies and using products that are good for us will help keep each family member healthy!

We have a couple family members in our house with sensitive skin. Instead of buying multiple products for each individual in the family, we choose brands that everyone in our house can use. This has prevented us from having to spend extra money on products to suit each family member’s needs. It also has saved us money on doctor visits due to allergic reactions or skin problems.

What I love about Ivory, it is a brand I used growing up. Ivory started with the purest bar of soap 138 years ago, and still continues to uphold the standard of using only pure & purposeful ingredients in its products, which is why we trust the Ivory brand. It is free of dyes and parabens and includes the #1 Dermatologist-Recommended moisturizing ingredient.

What is something you do to keep your life simpler?

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Ivory. The opinions and text are all mine.
