Those are all wonderful charities, but we prefer to give local. We donate to the food bank in our town 🙂

  • These are all great charities. We donate to our local food bank, youth shelter, and stuff the cruiser. We also donate to our local children’s hospital and whatever Charity our son’s school has picked.

  • This is a great list of charities to consider donating to this time of year, well, actually anytime of year. As a daughter of a veteran and a wife to a veteran I have to say Homes for Our Troops has a special place in my heart.

  • There are so many important charitties and causes but I am partial to the animals. I would love to contribute with PetSmart and the Nature Conservancy

  • I haven’t heard of too many of these charities. I tend to give to planned parenthood and that’s about it. But I would like to one day do more.

  • I feel we all should do more for our veterans, as they have volunteered to do something for people they don’t know. These are all great charities.

  • This is such a great idea, thank you so much for posting this! We definitely need to think of those in need on this Christmas.

  • I work for a non-profit. I think it is best to find a charity or organization that makes an impact on something that you feel passionate about or called to care about.

  • So many great charities out there. I usually seek out the ones that I am passionate about.

  • I donate to Petsmart every time I buy dog food for my pup. I love knowing that I’m helping other animals get to enjoy some tasty food just like my fur ball.

  • It would be so nice to give back this season as a way to show appreciation for all the blessings we received for the year! It’s so nice of you to share a list of charities that we can donate to!

  • It’s great with your charity list. Every year, we also donate and give presents to orphaned children and it warms our hearts.

  • Those are worthy charities. I would add No Kid Hungry, too, as there is no good reason why any child in the USA or the world should go to bed hungry. None.

  • Donating is such a good thing to do for the New Year. The holidays can become so materialistic. It’s great to remember to give back and help those who need it.

I’ve really been trying to talk to my kids about this during the holidays. It’s so important and I want them to learn it now.
