Best Family Vacations to Take in February

Are you sick and tired of the cold and the endless amount of snow? Do you just want to get away from it all? Here are some of the best family vacations to take in February.

sanibel

Sanibel Island– Sanibel Island is located in Fort Myers, Florida. February is a great time to visit the island since the temperatures are rather comfortable, usually in the 70’s during the day and 50’s at night. The 1975 movie Night Moves, starring Gene Hackman, was filmed on the island. Sanibel Island is an ideal seaside vacation for families because there are so many things to do. The Sanibel Lighthouse is an 1884 landmark. Kids will love visiting the Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum. Families can relax at Bowman’s Beach.

Walt-Disney-World-Magic-Kindom

Walt Disney World– Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida is a fun and exciting place that families will enjoy. It is located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida and was established in 1971. Walt Disney World is situated on 27, 258 acres and features 35 hotels, 4 theme parks, 4 gold courses and 2 water parks. The theme parks are Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, while the water parks are Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. There is an endless amount of activities for families to do at Walt Disney World including Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Toy Story Midway Mania, It’s A Small World, Haunted Mansion, Spaceship Earth and The Tree of Life.

Honolulu, Hawaii– Honolulu is Hawaii’s state capital with a population of 953, 207. During February, temps in Honolulu are in the lower 80’s during the day and mid 60’s at night. There are a number of things for families to do in Honolulu including Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Beach, North Shore Shark Adventures, Hawaii Children’s Discovery Center, Sea Life Park, Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park, Hawaii State Art Museum, Waikiki Aquarium and Polynesian Cultural Center.

    These all sound like great places to go on vacation. Hawaii is the the top of my list.
