While I still do dread the cold weather, I no longer dread dry, scaly skin of my little ones. Babies have such soft skin when they are born, but it doesn’t take long for their precious skin to get dried out if not properly cared for.

With winter lasting a good five to six months here, it is so important to keep little ones bundled up. Not only that but when washing their clothing and bedding to use hypoallergenic items that are going to be gentle on their sensitive skin.

One of those items is Dreft, the #1 baby laundry detergent choice of pediatricians to be gentle and hypoallergenic on baby’s skin. Trusted for over 80 years, Dreft comes with a babyhood scent beloved by moms and provides little ones fabrics with an amazing clean, yet it remains safe and hypoallergenic for baby. Specially formulated to be gentle on baby’s skin but tough on stains, Dreft brings cuddle time to a whole new level of warm and fuzzy this winter season.

My sister and I were talking about this the last time we were together. She was talking about washing her new baby clothes and blankets. My question to her was, “Do you have Dreft?” It’s almost like a staple when it comes to baby laundry or clothes of little ones with sensitive skin. And to be honest, my skin is also sensitive…so even as an adult I enjoy using Dreft simply because I know I will not break out.

  • Someone told me when I was pregnant with my first that I had to use special baby detergent, but sine he was remarkably clean all the time (no leaks, spills, or spit-ups hardly ever) that I never had enough clothes to wash alone for him so I didn’t use it and my kiddo’s clothes lasted forever and are going to be soon used again for baby No. 2

  • Dreft is actually a great product! When I had baby #2 I thought that I was being ‘overprotective mom’ so I started using regular detergent and my daughter started getting red dots on her skin. I immediately switched back to dreft and red dots were gone!

  • Dreft is still the only laundry detergent I use with my toddler who has sensitive skin and have always used it with all my kids.

I always used Dreft when my boys were babies. It made their clothes smell so good.

  • I’m not sure how I missed the Dreft boat when my babies were babies. It sounds like the perfect formula.

Dreft was always my go to for when my kids were little! I was always amazed at how long it seemed to last too.

  • I use a big cozy jacket and a hat!

  • We keep her bundled up all the time.

  • I STILL use Dreft because my skin is so sensitive. I’ve been using it for years, and I use it on my son’s clothes also even though he is 3.

  • I remember using this on sons clothes when he was an infant. Now we use another dye free detergent .

  • When my Daughter was young, Dreft is the only thing I could use on her clothing to keep her from breaking out. That was over 40 years ago.

  • We keep our kids bundled up with coats and hats/mittens. Layers are essential in case they get overheated. We are all too familiar with the harsh winters living in the Midwest.

  • Oh what a great sounding product – I have sensitive skin so I have to be careful what I use even now. x

  • My little ones are big now but I used Dreft when they were younger and it is a great product. My one son had so many sensitivities and it was the only thing that helped.

  • I remember stocking up on this when both babies were born. Works fabulously!

  • I’ve never heard of this brand when my daughter was little was little like an infant she used to be really sensitive to smells and textures and so we could only use really light detergent. This sounds like it would work.

  • I used to use Dreft when my kids were little. I remember how good it was. I didn’t have to worry about irritating my kids skins

  • I used Dreft when my kids were little and still use the stain treatments! I LOVE them. During the winter, I like to keep my kids skin moisturized and avoid exposing them to the wind.

  • I used Dre ft with my daughter. She didn’t have sensitive skin but I quicky learned as a mom to wash everything together as full loads unless baby has skin issues or allergies. I love the smell of Dreft.

  • Our family has sensitive skin so we started using hypoallergenic products years ago. I didn’t realize Dreft was hypoallergenic.

We bundle up in sweaters mostly, and sometimes t-shirts in the winter because we live in California!

  • Most babies have sensitive skin does this is really great!

  • It smells SO good. I always try to buy when there’s a sale!

  • I’ve had to use Dreft for a family member. It really is a great product!

  • We bundle them up with sweaters. We moved from California to Florida. There’s not much bundling going on here.

  • I’ve always heard great things about Dreft but personally have never used it.

  • I’ve never tried Dreft but now my babies are grown. I had one with sensitive skin so this might have really helped her.

  • I used Dreft on my son’s clothes when they were babies. I found that it was kind to their skin and did not have strong scents.

We use emu oil for hair/skin, wool socks, and lots of layers

  • I have a confession to make. I go down the laundry aisle and sniff the Dreft. I love it, its such a lovely scent!

  • I loved to use Dreft for my baby, the scent was very good and his skin reacted very well to it (I had previously used another brand that made his skin all dry). Sometimes I also used baby oil and bundled him up really well when the weather was really cold and dry, but as a detergent Dreft was the only brand I used for his baby clothes.

I used this all the time when my oldest was younger. He had skin allergies that required something that was easy on him. I wish I could attend the party, I bet it is going to be a good one.

  • It makes so much sense to use hypoallergenic products on sensitive young skin. We always used Dreft when the kids were babies.

  • I love Dreft! If I could use it in all my laundry I would. Love the scent!

  • I love Dreft and still only use it for my toddler who has sensitive skin.

  • Especially when its about the kids – its always important to use hypoallergenic – I don’t know the brand but I am glad its an hypoallergenic one.

  • Dreft is the only brand I used for my little ones. I love the scent too 🙂

  • I only used draft for my babies. This is such a great giveaway! I love it and I will pass this along. Thanks

It has been around for a while, so it is trusted too. I do know that there’re things to consider when it comes to sensitivity.

  • It’s nice that this detergent is gentle. Babies have such sensitive skins when young.
