7 Best Paid Ipad Apps For Kids 5 And Under

We recently bought our 4 year old, Lola, an ipad mini. She really enjoys watching Netflix shows on it and playing games. So what kinds of games are appropriate for kids 5 and under? We did some searching and found some fun apps for our little Lola to play and here are her favorites! They keep her occupied in the car on long trips and when she wants to spend a little time on her ipad. Check out the best (in my opinion) paid ipad apps for kids 5 and under below.

1. Toca Pet Doctor: $2.99 in App Store

The Toca Pet Doctor app is so cool. It features colorful artwork and fun sounds! It is aimed towards children aged 2 to 6. Kids become doctors for a group of 15 cute and cuddly pets including CHARM the charming dog, BUN our friendly neighborhood budgie, TARZAN the upside down turtle, WORM the not so happy earthworm, BLOB the slimy snail, POP the spikey iguana, MOLLY the chipper Guinea Pig, BISSE the yellow canary, RASCAL the mischievous cat, PICKLES the perky pigeon, CID (pronounced Sssssid) the snake, DOTTIE the spotted toad, JESS “pretty eyes” spider, BRIE the cheesy mouse and TOFU the vegetarian rabbit. Definitely worth the money!

2. Busy Shapes $1.99 in App Store

Want an educational app that will keep your little kid entertained AND learn some valuable tools? This app helps teach kids how to match simple objects, improve the child’s acknowledge ability and it is very simple to use.

bubble-puppy

3. Bubble Puppy $6.99

It’s a personal play date with Bubble Puppy! My kids LOVE Bubbly Guppies and this app featuring Bubble Puppy is adorable. Kids can dress him up in fun outfits, feed him all kinds of treats and groom him so he’s nice and clean. Plus, they will learn while playing math and literacy games. Educational and fun!

monkey-preschool

4. Monkey Preschool Lunchbox $1.99

Monkey Preschool Lunchbox is a collection of five exciting educational games for your preschooler and features 6 different games that teach kids about colors, letters, counting, differences, and matching and a cute animated monkey that helps kids along as they play the games. Kids also get a sticker reward after every other game that they win!

daniel-tiger

5. Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood $1.99

One of my daughter’s favorite shows is Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and yes, now there is an app for that! With this app, kiddos have the chance to play about some of Daniel’s everyday experiences. This is a great app not only because it is easy to use and educational, but there are NO ads on it so you won’t have your kid giving you the ipad every couple minutes asking you “what happened?”

peekaboo

6. Peek-a-Boo Barn $1.99

This game is easy to play together or on their own and the sound effects are too cute!

endless-alphabet

7. Endless Alphabet $4.99

This app is personally one of my favorites and my Lola loves it. It is a little spendy for an app, but it definitely helps with formulating words in a fun way and in my opinion, is worth the money! It incorporates sounds, pronunciation, cheering and fun animation displaying the meaning of the word in a way that is appropriate and clear for a child to understand. There are tons of words, and they seem to add more regularly.

Do you have any paid ipad apps that your kids enjoy playing? We’d love for you to share them below!
